Beautiful evening tonight.  Light showers and a warm sunset brings out the best in garden plants.  Sometimes a dead fir tree comes in useful for contrast too.

Our cherry tree is not meant to grow cherries as it has nothing to pollinate with. It seems to have found a mate. (See if you can spot the Moon)

Flowers are lovely things and I know nothing about them. This flower has…six petals and seems to be in black and white.

The South Kildare Medieval Festival was in Athy this weekend. Lots of jousting, duels, weaving and falconry. This Golden Eagle is a beautiful creature, always on the lookout, as was his owner. More photos from the festival on Flickr

I’m guessing that half the country is taking pictures of the lovely blossom on the trees. Why should I be any different, it’s lovely, and nothing says spring like cherry blossom.
